

Canadian Soprano Christina Demeo has been praised as a captivating and dynamic performer. Miss Demeo graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Masters in Opera, under the tutelage of Hungarian-Canadian Mezzo-Soprano Krisztina Szabó. She recently made her European debut singing the title role in Dvorak's Rusalka with the European Music Academy. During her time at UBC she performed Fiordiligi in Cosi Fan Tutte, Gertrude in Hansel and Gretel, Anaïde in Il Capello di Paglia di Fiorenza, and Forester's Wife in The Cunning Little Vixen.

This past season, she made her company debut with City Opera Vancouver, performing in the Canadian Premier of Song from the Uproar: The Lives and Deaths of Isabelle Eberhardt. Equally at home in concert repertoire, Miss Demeo had the opportunity to perform Le Chanson de Salomé with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
She earned her Bachelor's of Music at the University of Alberta, studying under Tenor John Tessier. In addition to her education and training in Classical Voice and Opera, she earned a diploma in Musical Theatre.
